I think I'll Survive!

How are you all doing. I miss you so much. I hope all is going well.

Anyway, this week has been really nice! Not the weather though. I didn't enjoy that. It's too hot! However, the lessons we've had were absoultely wonderful. Like, We saw Ira this week. We taught him the Word of Wisdom and we committed him to cut back on his smoking and drinking coffee. He told us that he would cut down on his smoking to half, and that he would replace coffee with drinking orange juice. We thought that was just so cool! We called back later in the week to check and see how he was doing and he told us that he cut back on half of what he had been smoking. We were so excited. We'll have another lesson with him this week since we didn't see him at church on Sunday so that we can see how he is doing with his smoking and drinking coffee. I hope he is still progressing with it.

We met with another investigator named Megan. She's new! We taught her about the Book of Mormon and the lesson went really well because we just randomly stopped by to see her, and she let us right into her home. I think she'll progress really nicely, but we are afraid that she may get anti'd by her congregation and friends. I hope that she doesn't come across that because I've met a lot of people like her who would totally progress, but get anti'd and I have no idea what to do sometimes. I feel sad sometimes when that happens.

We also met with Geneva's cousin Dave this week as well. We had a really good lesson. We brought a member with us so that he would feel more comfortable with another male there. Dave just fell in love with the member Brother Farmer. Oh it was just so cool. When Dave come to church on Sunday, he met Brother Farmers son, and Dave was just so excited about it. We could see how much Dave really likes Brother Farmer. We would like to have lesson in their home, however, we have a little predicament with Geneva. We know that Dave is her cousin so we don't want to take her away from the lessons and not be involved that would be just horrible. I think for now we'll have the lessons in her home so that she can be involved in the lessons as well as having Brother Farmer there to be of extra support to Dave.

And then we had the most AMAZING lesson this week with a kid we tracked into named Rodolfo. He's from Japan! He's been involved in religious things but not all of his life. He only recently started, and then he fell off the bandwagon for it. Anyway, the lesson we had was just so amazing because we were thinking most of the week who would be the perfect people we could have go. Then randomly I said we should have the Dickerson's, who are a missionary couple in the 2nd ward, and who also served in Cambodia. We thought that they would be awesome people to have in the lesson, and so we were actually having dinner with them on Saturday which was the same day that we scheduled to meet with Rodolfo. So we arranged to have them pick him up so he can come have dinner with them and us, and so that we can have a lesson in the Dickerson's home. It was just so amazing and I really could feel the spirit. Rodolfo just really took everything to heart I think. Finally when the lesson was over we asked him to pray, and think that was maybe, I'm not really sure, but one of the first times I felt the spirit when an Investigator prayed especially about knowing if the Book of Mormon was true. It just reaffirmed my testimony of it. I was just so excited. Sister Lambson and I were just so happy after that lesson even though the lesson we had after that had to cancel. I just loved it!
It was a wonderful miracle!

We had such an amazing Zone Conference! Elder Robbins was there, and I learned just much from him and his wife. They are just so amazing and adorable! I don't even remember a lot of what I learned, but I think I'm really happy that I took a lot of notes. I'm sorry too, I don't think I'll get pictures from this Zone Conference because we didn't get the chance to participate in them. I really had to go to the Bathroom and one of the missionaries were really impatient and took the pictures without Sister Lambson and me so we weren't able to be in them. I'm really sad about it, but that's okay. I think I'll survive.

I love and miss you all

Sister Freer

I have had a great week.

I have had a great week. I would love to tell you all the people that we saw this week, but I forgot my planner and I only remember a few things that happened this week.

So guess what happened this week! Sister Taylor and I decided to take the time to go biking out towards Nashville. We figured it was such a beautiful day that we would spend it outside tracking. It was so wonderful. We parked our car at a members house and we hit the gravel roads to try the wonderful people in the country. Anyway, There was no success, but we did talk to this really great guy who let us touch his fish. He went fishing in a little lake behind these peoples house, he is in his early 80's, and he was lugging all this stuff up this really steep hill.  When we saw him he was getting his car so that he wouldn't have to take his poles and stuff farther up the hill so we decided to help him. We went and grabbed his fish for him and brought it to his car, and then we started chatting about convents. I'm still not sure what it is, but I know that his wife went to one and that he works at one. Anyway, as we were standing there talking, our bikes which were next to us, the back tire on my bike somehow self combusted! Sister Taylor and I thought someone shot my bike, but no, it just blew up (the tube did). So we were in a pickle. The guy offered to give us ride, however, since it was just him we decided to follow the rules and decline. Since we weren't to far from the members house we just decided to walk the bike back on the gravel roads up and down, what I call, ferocious hills. It was quite an adventure. For some reason Sister Taylor and I decided that maybe Heavenly Father doesn't want us to ride bikes in the country anymore. I do admit that maybe we should have stayed in Columbus to ride our bikes, but that's okay. The Elders are going to help us fix the tube today, so I'm excited to learn how to do it and actually have the tools to do it.

We were able to see Sister G. She has been in a rut lately. She was saying that she didn't feel great at all and she didn't know what to do. We asked her about reading the Book of Mormon and praying and she was like "I haven't done it lately." So we're like well, how did you feel when you were reading, and she explained how happy she was and stuff like that. So it was really funny that when we were talking she realized that she felt bad because she hadn't been reading or praying or coming to church. We then asked her how can she get back on track. Of course she respond with read, pray, and go to church, but then she was like how do I do that? It was just so cute and funny that we needed to tell her that she should just pick up the Book of Mormon and read. It was truly adorable. I do think she got out of the habit because she's been sick and her kids have been sick, but I love seeing that she can realize the difference praying, reading, and going to church has in her life. She's really awesome. We also heard on Sunday she received a Priesthood Blessing because she's been sick. We asked how it made her feel, and she was telling us that she's still sick, but the massive pain in her stomach went away right after the blessing. I was just so excited to hear that. It made me so happy. So we're excited to be teaching today. We're going to go over the Restoration because we can only get so far through the lessons we haven't been able to teach them all to her yet. So we'll do that today and hopefully get a baptismal date for her as well. We found that she'll getting married to her boyfriend in September, so that's most likely when the baptism will be held. We're hoping for it at least.

We also got the chance to see Sister Lee. We didn't get to see her husband this time, but maybe next time we'll see him. We had a wonderful lesson with her on Tuesday. She is really understanding more about the Plan of Salvation. We were able to talk with her about the Atonement and be able to explain it simply. She completely understood. Since she has that connection with Heavenly Father, we're now helping her get that connection with Jesus Christ. We committed her to pray about the Atonement. I am so sure that she will get her answer and I'm really excited to hear it. Also, I have found that the Shanghai Dialect from China is really hard.

I'm really excited to hear about Gunner. When Sammie sent me her camera it had a few videos of Gunner on it, and I started watching them because I miss him quite a bit. I know, I shouldn't, but I wasn't very happy yesterday, so I made an exception.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you couldn't attend the reunion. I know it must be difficult to not be able to see your family. I know it is sure hard Anyway,  I'm totally jealous that you are losing weight. I haven't been able to because one now my bike tire is broken and members really like to feed us. I still need to stay off my ankle so I can't do much because of it. I swear, I've gained a lot of weight. No worries. I'll walk with you when I get back home. I'll have to keep up with you anyway. I really hope that everything is going okay.  anyway, I love and miss you all very much.

A Short Message From Sister Ashley Freer.

Okay, so I'm sorry that I didn't give much information last time in my email about where I'm at. So I'm in Columbus, and no I'm not in Trio anymore. Sister Charsley who was with us is now serving in Noblesville with my last companion Sister Vanderhooft. And Sister Vanderhooft's last companion I think is with the Temple Square Sister. Also, I'm now Senior Companion instead of Junior and I'm follow up training Sister Taylor.

So my address for Columbus is
2707 Williamsburg Ct. Apt 12-C
Columbus IN 47203

Anyway,

You know seeing investigators makes me just so happy sometimes. I love seeing their progression. For instance,Sister G. is one that is just so amazing! We had a lesson with her earlier this week at a members home, and she was just spouting off a whole bunch of things basically about how awesome the church is. Anyway, we were able to talk with her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and especially about Repentance. She knew exactly what repentance was, but to her she can't see how repentance and the Atonement can help her in regards to what has happened to her in her life so far. Like there were things where someone had hurt her in a really bad way and she can't forgive that, but she can recognize the sins that she has committed and is willing to ask for forgiveness for those. For me personally, I don't know what I can do to help her understand that the Atonement can help her with her past experiences. We did find an article from the Ensign from this last General Conference that we thought would help her, so we were able to drop it off to her house later in the week. We just now need to see what she thought and felt about it. I hope that it helped her.

We also had a lesson with some people who wanted to Anti us. The first time we saw them, the B. Family, was a few weeks ago and they totally seemed interested and wanted to learn. So, we set up a time for this last week to see them, and it the they keot trying to prove to us that we were just a little wrong. It was really funny because no matter how we tried we were asked not to use the Book of Mormon, or even tell the Story of Joseph Smith or anything like that. So when Sister Taylor and I left the appointment, we were just like "Wow!" It was interesting because for some reason we knew that if they had heard what we were saying about the Book of Mormon they wouldn't have been able to deny it. They tried really hard to make sure we didn't share the wonderful passages in the Book of Mormon. After that appointment we were just like Yeah, we need to use the Book of Mormon more in our appointments. It was pretty sweet to remember that. Sometimes it can be hard to remember those kinds of things.

Oh, and an awesome experience. We were tracking this one street, and we only had like 30 minutes to tract. Anyway, we knocked on this one mans door and you know he comes out and starts talking with us, but once he realized that we were L.D.S. he was just so excited because he wanted to learn more. He was telling us that missionaries knocked on his door a few months ago, but they never came back. We were so stoked because we were able to set an appointment up with him for this Wednesday so that we can share more of what we know.
I love and miss you all

This week has been so exciting. I'm like totally serious!!

Guess what! This week has been so exciting. I'm like totally serious!!

The storms have been so crazy this week especially the one on Wednesday. Columbus will be one of my favorite places because of the Tornado that I think touched down or almost did. I'm not sure what it was.. Brother Richardson called Sister Taylor and I every hour after 4 o'clock to make sure that we were alright. It was actually a little annoying though. He's like a very protective dad who knows no bounds.
Anyway, I loved that during the worst part of the storm at 4 we were at an investigators house and as we were sharing our message with her the lights go out and the winds start blowing really hard. So guess what she does?  She shoos us into her sewing room and makes us get into her closet and that is where we stood for like a half hour (it seemed) maybe 10 minutes or something. So a lot of our
appointments cancelled that day. It was sweet, but not at the same time.
So that's my exciting news report!!

Okay, so one of the investigators we saw this week was a sister T.  who pushed us into her closet during the storm. We did have an exciting appointment with her. It was literally sweet. So Sister T. was sharing a
scripture with her from 1 Nephi 17 that Jesus Christ is our light and then the power goes out.
So this is were we go to the closet and when we come back out we start again with the scripture that we were talking about and in the next verse in ch. 17 it says "I, the Lord, did deliver you from destruction."  So all of us were just like "That's weird." But it was just so funny.                           It was like he was telling all of us to rely on him more or something.  I thought it was pretty sweet experience.
We also saw sister L. She is Chinese and doesn't speak much English, but she starting to see how Heavenly Father has been a major influence in her life.
It really surprised me because she came from a background that she didn't believe in a god.
She is such a sweetheart though.  We were able to bring two recent converts, that are interns here and can speak Chinese, with us, and they were able to translate for her and for us. Oh my word, it was so confusing. There was a lot of speaking, and everything, but I was still able to understand where she is at now and what we can do to help her more. I think that she is really special, but we'll have to take the lessons slow with her because of her difficultly of understanding the English language. I do know that it will work out though, so I'm really excited for our next appointment with her.

Oh, and Geneva's Baptism was really amazing! I loved it! She was baptized on May 28th, and Geneva was just so excited about it. So Geneva asked Sister Taylor to give one of the talks at her baptism, and cute Sister Taylor was just so nervous. During companionship study on Saturday we went over talk so she could see if it would make sense. She made this cool outline for it and everything. She did really great. Also Brother Richardson gave the other talk as well. He is awesome. I loved what he mentioned in his talk about the Holy Ghost. Oh, and Elder Kimball was able to attend too. He had the opportunity to baptize her. It was just so wonderful.
Elder Kimball is just so awesome for being able to come Geneva's baptism. I'm sure they are super busy in Avon, but I'm happy they were able to come. So, we also stole an idea from Sister Summers to put testimonies on 3x5 cards and put them on a little ring so that Geneva would be able to read them all the time. We were able to have dinner with her yesterday and she told us that she read through all of them and that it truly made her happy to know how many people really loved her.
Plus a lot of people attended baptism. I don't think I've ever seen so many people at a baptism before. It was just so wonderful. I loved it! Geneva also told us how much she loved having the spirit with her now since she has it as her constant companion. And something that I thought was surprising was that Geneva said she was excited to do Visting Teaching. I don't think I've ever heard anyone be excited to do visiting teaching before. It really did surprise me because before I came on my mission I never liked visiting teaching, and here is someone saying that she wants to do it. WOW!!  I love and miss you all!!!

. When you are baptized it is symbolism for Death and Ressurection.

Hey mom and dad.

Easter was awesome. Actually Sunday was pretty sweet. We you know went to church and all that jazz, but I learned quite a bit on the Atonement from the wonderful speakers, and then we were stopped by Brother Horvath who was just the most awesome person ever. He told us something really amazing. I never thought about it before and thought that I would share it with you. When you are baptized it is symbolism for Death and Resurrection. The priesthood holder has the power and authority from God which like symbolizing Jesus Christ. So as Christ went through death and the resurrection we too will go through it, however as we do Christ will be with us during the whole thing as he is here with us in this life to help us in our mortal bodies. I just thought it was the coolest thing.

So also here is an update on this week. It was a pretty awesome week, just so you know.

So this week was pretty awesome, we had that awesome storm come through on Tuesday. We had a lot of fun on that day! That rain really came down super hard. Sister Marshall and I got so soaked. We were actually trying potentials in Danville when the worst part of the storm came. We were walking the down the street to try all these people, and the rain started pouring and we couldn't even see the houses in front of us. It got so bad, but a Less-Active member lived on that street and saw us walking and she just invited us right into her home to get dry. It was so wonderful even though we were just soaking wet, even our jackets didn't save us. Anyway, during that time we were in her home she had a leak in her basement. In order to give her thanks we volunteered to help her keep the water under control until her husband came home. It was fun, we used a shop vac to suck up the water in her basement so it didn't flood. So Heavenly Father definitely saved both Sister Marshall and I and our Less Active, we were safe and we got the opportunity to do service. By the way, apparently when Tornado's come they have a haze with a greenish tint when it rains. I learned something new this week about the wonderful weather of Indiana.
This week we also had the wonderful opportunity to see our ward member. He is progressing nicely. He is a less active who has a learning disability and he just wants to learn more about the scriptures mostly about the Book of Mormon. He is just the most sincere person ever. He loves everyone no matter what. He is also the one that one of our investigator was living with until he got kicked out of his apartment because our investigator wasn't supposed to be there. Anyway, we're going over the Book of Mormon with him and I was just so excited because he taught himself a principle from 1 Nephi 3, even though he says that he doesn't understand the Book of Mormon. I was so thrilled because he really does and he just needs encouragement. He truly is wonderful!

We were also able to see our other investigator this week as well. Sister Marshall had a wonderful lesson prepared for him. Its called the Easter Egg Lesson, and its an object lesson about Jesus Christ's Crucifixion, and resurrection. We also went to a members home and had them participate in the lesson. We wanted them to teach about the Atonement, so they had their son do it and he showed a movie called Easter Dream, I think. That movie just went so well with the lesson, and it seemed that he really understood more about the Atonement. I absolutely loved it. Also, Sister Marshall has just the sweetest spirit, and such a pure testimony about families and the atonement. When she bore her testimony during the lesson she brought the spirit, and I think he understood more about the importance of him quitting smoking. Once again, We're trying to be patient with him, and I know that as we are he will quit smoking. Who knows when, but he'll do it.
Oh, and we will most likely be getting a new investigator this week. I think I mentioned it before, but we were trying an old potential who didn't live in the home anymore, but a family who's daughters stepfather is a member in Lebanon answered the door and told us she believed in the church. We're going to start teaching her this week. We have been so excited about it all week long. She's 16, and she wants to learn all that she can about the church. We told that we'll be teaching her the missionary lessons with the goal of baptism. She most definitely agreed with that. It was just so awesome!
Oh, and I learned today that Amalickiah is a goal-setter!!!! In Alma 43-47 it talks about him being Derious to be king. It doesn't matter over who, he just wants to be king. Anyway, when he made that goal and it didn't work over the Nephites, he changed his course to the Lamanites. So he sets his goals and accomplishes it by being commander over a small bit of army, then becoming the second leader, then the Chief leader, then in the end killing the king to become the king of the Lamanites. I thought it was pretty sweet. Anyway, just a cool little bit of info that I learned today.

I miss and love you all. have a wonderful week.
Love,
Sister Freer

Our Heavenly Father is truly amazing!!!! and Awesome!!!!

And HOW ARE YOU?

I'm doing perfectly fine. The weather sure is crazy!  There have been days were its nice and days were its just rainy. Like today for instance. Its rainy, and stormy outside. Its been like this for the whole week. Sometimes its really annoying because rainy days just make me tired and unwilling.  Anyway, I have exciting news. I pulled my tendon in my ankle a few weeks ago. At the time I thought it would get better in no time, but I found out that it will take a little while to heal fully. No worries, I have brace on it and I'm icing it everyday like I was told to do. It only hurts sometimes now, the brace is really helping it.
I can tell you the story of how it happened. So we were out trying our potential investigators in Pittsboro, and these kids were across the street playing baseball. One the kids hit the ball over to where we were, so of course I didn't want them to run out into the street so I ran to go and get it. However, I ran and somehow pulled my tendon. It sounded like ripping. It hurt so badly. It didn't swell that much, but I could most definitely feel the pain in my ankle. I guess its my fault because I walked on it while it hurt, and I wouldn't go to one the many nurses in our ward. Anyway, It was extremely eventful. I can't even play sports now. We usually go to White River to play with the Elders, but now I can't play. We can still go, but I can't play basketball or volleyball even though I still play volleyball because I don't have to move around as much. Anyway, now I have to find new ways to do cardio in the morning since I can't run anymore and walking in place is boring. I asked the President if we could get bikes and Sister Marshall and I could go biking in the morning. I'll have to see what he says. So now you know of my wonderful eventful life as a missionary.

Soooo.... Here you go.

I want to let you know that this week has been horribly dramatic. So dramatic that it physically and emotionally exhausts you! This week we saw a investigator. The lesson we had earlier this we talked about desire with him, but most of the lesson was listening to him vent. Anyway, later in the week we found out by a member that our investigator  was kicked out of his roommates apartment because the Landlord saw that he was living there and he wasn't supposed to. So a member put him up in Avon at a hotel for the week, at least until he can find something to do. If not, then he's out on the street. On Saturday we had another lesson with him at his Hotel in Avon (No worries, we got permission from the ZL's), and we found out the not only was he humbled by the experience of losing his home but he got a job from his old boss and a place to live for two months in Lebanon. Right now he is still saying that he will receive the Holy Ghost on his terms, and not on Gods terms, which is a little frustrating right now. Anyway, this morning we had a really great companionship study on how we can help him to understand that he needs the Holy Ghost. We're planning on sharing John 3:5 and D&C 88:33 with him tonight. We'll see how it goes. We know that he is ready to have the Holy Ghost, but he doesn't believe us. So, that is where we are with him right now.

We also had the opportunity to see another investigator this week! We talked with him about Repentance especially with smoking. It was a wonderful lesson. We found out that he actually hadn't repented of his smoking, and because of it he was just so ashamed to tell us. So we were able to find out just one thing that we could help him with. I sure do hope that the lesson we had will get him where he needs to be to have that wonderful Desire to quit. We know that he does want to be baptized, so we were able to give him suggestions on good ways to quit. I think it was a Elder that told us to have him drink orange juice, or grape juice or something like that to have that extra Vitamin C in his body to flush out the nicotine. I thought that was pretty awesome, so we told him and he is willing to do it. He even got orange juice so that he can start. I was just so extremely excited.

AND, we have two new investigators.  They are a wonderful couple that live in Danville. The Elders tracked into them and never dropped them so we decided to see if they were interested. At the beginning the husband was interested, but we finally were able to meet with him and his wife too.  We had a wonderful lesson with them on the Plan of Salvation. They were both agreeing with it completely, except when it came to the 3 kingdoms. He was really curious to know more about it, but she seemed more skeptical. It's all good though, we're working with them more. We also had the opportunity to see them yesterday at church. Unfortunately they couldn't come to the 9 o'clock time, so we met with them during the 1'clock session, or the Ward. Anyway, I think their first reaction was, "WOW, it sure is noisy!" There were a lot of children, but it did seem like they enjoyed the time they were there. They did compare it all the other churches they've been to, so in our next lesson we're going to go over why our church is so different. We did talk about the Priesthood with him,, but we think it would be best to go over it again with both of them there.

Also we had an amazing miracle happen this week. We were out trying our old potentials that were never dropped, and we came across some guy that didn't live too far from us. We decided to go, and stop by to see if he may still be interested in learning more about the church, however, he moved. This random guy moved. Anyway, the person we talked to was a 16 yr-old girl who's step father is a member in the Lebanon branch. He was investigating for 5 years and I believe was baptized a year ago, anyway, this girl was talking with and said that she believed the church was true. While her step-dad was investigating she had the opportunity to go with him to church, and she has been going ever since he has. We were just so excited that when we left her house we didn't even ask if she was baptized or anything of the sort, so we stopped by on Saturday to see her and ask. Unfortunately she wasn't there, but her mom was. Her mom told us all about her step dad, and about her daughter, and even gave us permission to teach her if her daughter was interested in being baptized. It was so sweet. Its nice to see that even though there are bad times during the week, the small little miracles in that week make it so much better to withstand. Even though sometimes you still get down. I really enjoy that.

I absolutely love this gospel. I'm so happy that my testimony is growing. I may not know as many things as my companions do, or of the gospel in general, but I love it. I love how it helps people in their lives. I know that I haven't seen people taking it seriously, or even try it. I haven't had a golden investigator who wants to be baptized in a matter of weeks, but I've been working with people who have a long way to progress, and I can see it help little by little. Our first investigator, has been humbled, and wants the Holy Ghost. Our second investigator is working on quitting smoking, but he truly does love the gospel and wants to be baptized. All the investigators I've worked with are truly amazing people. They are my brothers and sisters and I want to help them. Our Heavenly Father is truly amazing!!!! and Awesome!!!!

Love and miss you much

Love, Sister Ashley Freer

Thank You!

Thank you so much. I actually last week went to buy some summer shoes. I needed some, I realized that I left the pair I got from St. George in Anderson. I was so sad because I broke those in, and I didn't want to get a new pair. It was horrible. Anyway, I do want new clothes for summer, but I think I can suffice with what I have right now. I shouldn't get more clothes anyway. I'll probably have to get another suitcase which I really do not want to do. I'm glad that everything is going well. I hope it all continues. I know the Lord will continually bless you and dad.
I'm glad you are losing weight that's awesome. I'm actually gaining weight here in Brownsburg.
People feed us to often.  Its kind of weird. We're planning on actually following the missionary fitness guidlines this week so we can begin to lose weight because I swear I gained so much here.

You don't need to send the shoes. Its perfectly fine, I'm good without them. I'm pretty sure I don't need anything right now. I'm actually going to send out a package today for you. I want to send some of the letters that I have received to you guys so I can have some room in my luggage for my clothes. I don't have much in room in there anymore because of the things that members give to us. I'm also going to send some Hoosier stickers and a flag that I got from Hoosier Racing Tire here in Brownsburg. They are non members who just love missionaries.  Its pretty awesome!!  Everyone here are just racing nuts, its so funny.

By the way, I think my District Leader, Elder Eames, and Bishop Fasan are in Cahoots to grow my confidence. Because Bishop Fasan asked me to speak in sacrament a few weeks ago for a Missionary Farewell, and yesterday I was asked to give the closing prayer in sacrament. Now Elder Eames asked me to give a 10 minute District Training this Friday. I'm so not excited. I'm beyond terrified. Its so scary when they ask something like that. I could manage a talk in sacrament, and giving a prayer too, but not giving a training. That's beyond comprehensible for me. He is just soooo mean! Although I know he's doing it to help me, so I've got to give him props for that. I'm sure he could find a better way to do it. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know. If I died from complete fear its because of Elder Eames.

Anyway, This week has been pretty nice, and horrible at the same time. I think it was last week that I said that Two of our investigators went astray. Both weren't keeping the word of wisdom. One was drinking tea, and the other was still smoking and hadn't quit like he was supposed to. So we had to cancel a confirmation for the tea drinker and a baptism for the smoker. All in all, bad week. No worries though. We're still planning on working with them, its just kind of hard to get people to understand how important the gospel is. I know that our two investigators are important to Heavenly Father, but at the same time its frustrating because they are not willing to keep their commitments. I can understand the drinking tea part, but most definitely not the smoking part. Its hard to put myself in his shoes, but I know that through this the Lord has blessed us. We have been diligent in keeping the commandments, as well as doing a worldly fast (We didn't talk about Family/Home, and Material things all week. It was hard) and we were blessed because we found people who were interested in learning about the gospel. They are not new investigators yet, but hopefully soon they will be.

I'm so happy that grandma liked my rock. I found it on the ground and immediately thought of her. I told my companion ''OH, I'm so sending this to my grandma. She'll love it!!!" and then I had it for a few weeks until I finally was able to send it. I wouldn't let anyone touch it because I didn't want to lose it.

anyway,
I Love you all and miss you lots

Love,
Sister Ashley Freer
